The Story Behind Swept Dating
Swept Dating wasn't born in a boardroom. It was created from the realization that modern dating had lost its way. Swiping, endless dates, unfair practices... all have become a game, not a path to connection.
Our founder, a tech veteran with a passion for serving others, saw an opportunity to use technology to bring real people together, not just keep them on a "perpetual hamster wheel" of dating apps.
We set out to build a platform that prioritizes safety, respect, and intentionality above all else.

How We Build Swept
Swept wasn't created in a boardroom or sketched out on a whiteboard. It was created by listening.
Before a single feature existed, we spent months immersed in the stories people shared about modern dating. Thousands of them. Stories of ghosting, burnout, fatigue, mixed signals, disappearing matches, fraud, conversations that went nowhere, and profiles that felt more like AI-bots than people. Across all of these experiences, one thing became clear: people weren't giving up on love. They were giving up on the systems that didn't support it.
So we started with a different question:
What if a dating app respected the emotional investment people make? What if it encouraged maturity instead of avoidance, effort instead of games, and honesty instead of ambiguity?
With that vision in mind, we allowed technology to play the role that it should, not for creating gimmicks, but as a way for helping people connect more intentionally. Advances in AI, established personality science, and even new technologies we've developed and all serve one purpose: to build a healthier, more intentional dating experience. To reduce ghosting. To encourage clarity. To help people express themselves authentically and confidently.
But at its core, Swept isn't defined by algorithms. It's defined by empathy.
Behind every profile is a person hoping for something real. And every decision we make, every feature, every safeguard, every design choice, is shaped by listening to what people told us they needed most: a place grounded in intention, honesty, and respect.
